Combat Archery reaches 50!

Combat archery is the latest extreme sport to be taking the nation by storm- and in recent months, we’ve had an influx of awesome new sites join our fantastic network. There are sites that hit the target everywhere from Galway to Edinburgh and everywhere in between, with more stellar venues asking to join our prestigious brand every single day.

We couldn’t be happier to announce that we have recently hit a significant milestone. The Activity People now has 50 combat archery sites on the network- and it is still growing, showing no signs of stopping any time soon! This makes us without a doubt the largest network of combat archery venues that you’ll find anywhere in Britain. As the sport continues to delight and excite wannabe Robin Hoods of all ages, this couldn’t be a better time for us to become the UK and Ireland’s largest combat archery provider.

If you haven’t yet tried our combat archery, now is the perfect time for you to book a trip down to one of our unpredictable battlefields. The sport is perfect for everything from birthday parties to corporate events and stag/hen dos, as well as just a great excuse for a day out where you can fire arrows at your mates! With specially designed foam bow and arrows at your disposal, the game is completely safe- but that doesn’t mean it isn’t intense. This is like The Hunger Games in real life, where only one champion can win at the end.

With the last of the summer sun fading fast, and children across the country all heading back to school, the September party season is about to burst back into life – and believe us it’s better to be prepared! So if you’re already planning the perfect kids party, here’s five fantastic party ideas that are guaranteed to get the kids going crazy.

Almost anything is possible on a Segway and these crazy creations are tailor-made for fun, which makes them perfect for parties. Some of the best Segway experiences include countryside safaris, off-road obstacle courses and tailor-made Segway games such as the segg and spoon race. 2. Combat Archery

Kids can’t get enough of this crazy new combat sport, and it’s easy to see why. 4. Laser Combat

With no masks, no bruises and unlimited ammo, laser combat is perfect for parties, and gives kids a great excuse to unleash their inner action hero. They’re guaranteed to love taking on the tailor-made missions and games too, and the state-of-the-art laser equipment makes the combat action even more exciting.

5. High Ropes

If you’re planning a birthday bash for a budding adventurer, they’re guaranteed to love taking to the tree tops for a heart-racing high ropes experience. If you want an adrenaline rush that will really put the wind in your sails, then you will certainly love taking part in our one of a kind Kitesurfing experiences in Scarborough and Redcar. When you head out for high speed fun in the sea, you’ll see exactly why this is one of the best extreme water sports around.

Here, you’ll be getting expert tuition from Mike, a tutor who has long been travelling around the world in search of the best kitesurfing locations, until he settled down and opened his kite surfing school. He thinks there is nowhere better to take part than the North of England and you’ll soon be seeing why. You’ll be using only the best surfing equipment, so expect high octane thrills.

For kite surfers travelling from further afield, Mike’s wife runs a luxury hostel above the school, which has the perfect atmosphere. Introducing Bungee Jumping Waltham Cross

We hope you’ve got a head for heights because the latest addition to The Activity People network is Bungee Jumping Waltham Cross!

With spectacular views of the surrounding town this incredible venue is the perfect place to put your bravery to the ultimate test, and you’ll even get a bird’s eye view of the white water centre used during the 2012 Olympic Games.

Unfortunately you won’t have much time to take in the views though, because once the crane reaches 160ft it’s time to jump! The rush of racing towards the ground makes it all worth while though, and you can even share the experience with a friend by taking on a tandem bungee jump from the same height.

So if you’re aged 14+, why not take your adrenalin levels to new heights by braving a bungee at our brilliant new venue.

Air Rifles Brandesburton Joins!

We’re excited to announce that the latest addition to The Activity People network is Air Rifles Brandesburton.

Ideally located between North and East Yorkshire this state of the art air rifle range is the perfect place to put your precision to the ultimate test.

With 16 shooting lanes to take aim from, and targets ranging from electric knock-downs to long range return targets there’s something to satisfy shooters of all abilities – and thanks to the high tech scoring system there’s no doubting when you’ve nailed a target! As well as keeping track of your totals the scoring system even displays the position of your last ten shots, which makes improving your accuracy even easier.

One of the best things about this venue has to be the selection of pistols and rifles though, and with a variety of packages that give you the chance to get to grips with both small-bore and high caliber rifles there’s nowhere better to experience air rifle shooting.

We’re excited to announce the latest addition to The Activity People network is Off-Road Shredders at Market Harborough.

These all terrain machines are part tank, part skateboard and part jet ski, and with acres of rugged countryside to explore our Market Harborough venue is the perfect place to put them through their paces! With a mixture of dirt tracks and all terrain trails to negotiate your Shredder skills will be pushed to the limit, but with the help of our expert instructors you’ll master the basics in no time.

Introducing White Water Tubing Newbiggin, Durham

We’re excited to welcome White Water Tubing Newbiggin to The Activity People network.

This wet and wild white water sport is just as crazy as it sounds, and at our brand new venue in Newbiggin you’re guaranteed to take on the ultimate combination of raging rapids and fast flowing white water.

The County Durham countryside is home to huge stretches of white water, which makes it the perfect place for tubing, and let’s face it there’s no better way to explore your surroundings than from the safety of giant rubber ring!

With full tuition and all necessary equipment included, this activity is perfect for participants aged 14+. So if you like to live on the wild side, and want to experience the rush of crashing over waves and racing down rapids, nothing comes close to the excitement of white water tubing!
